About Me
Hello! I am currently working as a data engineer at Tiger Global. Previously, I worked as a software engineer at Vested. Before that, I worked as a data and software engineer at Big Little Robots. Before that, I was an undergraduate student at Columbia University's engineering school, where I majored in computer science. Columbia really helped me unlock this unbounded curiosity for the world and love for knowledge. I spend a lot of time consuming all sorts of media about all sorts of things, so, I figured this website could be a nice place to log my deep-dives and the cool work they inspire.
At Vested, I worked on our website, which entails a broad range of software (HTML, CSS, TypeScript, React, Next.js, Node.js, Vercel, Sentry, MongoDB, AWS) and enables a lot of the business. If you're curious about Vested, our CEO does a stellar job of explaining the company mission on this episode of Meb Faber's podcast.
At Big Little Robots, I spent a lot of time working with tools to access databases (BigQuery, Snowflake), manipulate data (SQL, Python, dbt), and automate workflows (Airflow). The software engineering side of my role entailed writing and documenting code for projects and APIs, administering, managing and securing resources, and performance optimization.
I took a pretty hefty course load at Columbia, so ended up graduating early. My courses mostly consisted of systems-based, lower-level computer science classes, though I also dabbled in philosophy and math. You can find a list of all notable courses I've taken here.
